| Overview |
This accident happened in the steel structured 8-floor car park construction work field when a suspended load fell while the external wall material was hung and put in from the opening of seventh floor using transportable crane.
Two workers waited for receipt of load in the third floor fell victim. |

The load lifted by the transportable crane fell. |
| Sequence |
The carrying work of the external wall material consisted of the following. Install the transportable crane on the north side of the building. Sling the load which was transported by the truck.Lift the load about 20 meters.Lift down the load from the opening of the seventh floor.
At about 9:30 p.m. an operator raised the external wall material slung with the triangular sling with a crane about 20 meters and other worker rotated the load by assistant rope in order to pass it through the opening. Then two of the external wall materials which were unbundled slipped and fell from a space between the wire of the triangular sling. |
| Cause |
* Since the slinging method of the lifted load, eight sheets of external concrete wall material, was not appropriate, two of those sheets fell.
* The worker entered the downward dangerous area below the suspended load. |
| Response |
* In the case that you lift the load with suspension by the transportable crane, you should sling using the tool appropriate to the shape and weight of the suspended load by the appropriate method.
* You should prohibit the worker from entering the area below the lifted load in general. |
| Countermeasures |
As for the work by transportable cranes, etc., multiple workers must work under the close cooperation. Therefore, it is necessary that you should appoint a responsible person, a director, a slinging signal person, etc. for the work and clarify the chain of command, the sharing of roles and the responsibility range of those respectively. |
