Overview |
The location of the abutment bottom face had been decided by the method for case that the structure of the river is the excavated river channel, when the pedestrian bridge ( 94.7m length, 3.2m width ) is established as an addition to Iitoyo bridge constructed over the first-class river Arakawa. However, the abutment bottom face was not in appropriate position for the actual structure of river without being the excavated river channel. Government subsidy equivalent \ 4064,000 which concerns this was recognized unreasonable as the result, for the standard in the river management had not been satisfied, and it became the improper structure with the possibility which brings about the defect in the embankment. |

In the Kofu City, in the design of the abutment, by misunderstanding that the structure of the river is the excavated river channel, the design was carried out because the embankment of the bridge access road is in the back of the embankment. As the result, the bottom face was located in 2.4m upper part than the ground of the embankment in spite of the abutment bottom face originally should have been fixed to the ground of the embankment. Therefore, it became the improper structure with the possibility which brings about large defect in the embankment without not satisfying minimum required standard in the river management. |

In the Kofu City, in the design, the structure of the river was considered the excavated river channel by mistake, because the embankment of the bridge access road is in the back of the embankment. By the method as the structure of the river is the excavated river channel, the location in the abutment bottom face was decided.
