Overview This failure is a case of the bridge.
The tip of the steel sheet pile sticked in the part of the footing body(about 55mm; tolerance in the design +-30mm), so the repair of the steel sheet pile needed.
Incident The tip of the steel sheet pile sticked in the footing body.
Sequence Since there is a box culvert near the footing body, they planned construct with ensuring the maximum distance. It was proven that the part of the steel sheet pile had sticked in the footing body, when they set the steel sheet pile after the completion of the precedence drill.
Cause * The steel sheet pile was transformed by taking in the base concrete of the box culvert.
* Though the steel sheet pile was easy to be transformed, the examination was not with considering it.
* In spite of the construction of the importance position, the construction was carried out by the traders and was not controlled.
Response In order to ensure the cross section, the inferior back of the steel sheet pile was reinforced after chemical grouting, sheet pile was cut off.
Countermeasures * Relation information should be collected before the scheme of execution preparation, and it is confirmed in the drawing.
* The foreman confirms himself the construction situation and guide in the round of the field.
* The latent problem is examined with the experienced and cooperation traders in the examination of the construction technique.
* The staff of the follower is guided and is taught about management practice.
Knowledge Comment * The drawing should be examined with writing.
* They should investigate the hysteresis of the work zone which contains the adjacency zone.
* It does not do absolutely of the work of leaving the human.
