iino Spoke at Mie-Prefectural Office
January 28, 2003,Mie -- Dr. Kenji iino visited Mie prefectural government office
to give a seminar about the "Study of Failure". Mie prefectural government is well known
for its pronounced governor Mr. Masayasu Kitagawa, and his policy of breaking
irrational past conventional rules.
Kitagawa opened the event and introduced iino to the audience. The 2 hour talk
went through the introduction of the "Study of Failure" to the current research
of predicting failure. One of the questions raised concerned how to deal with
ISO9000. It was a popular question from those who sat through similar
seminars by ASF. "Quality documentation and making them traceable is important," said
iino, "however, it turns fruitless when those involved forget the real purpose
and documentation itself start to appear like the goal."
